SCOPE OF PRACTICE COMMITTEE – CALL FOR MEMBERS
The Scope of Practice Committee is currently recruiting for nurses interested in volunteering to serve on the committee for a two-year term beginning June, 2017 through June, 2019.
The committee has a rich and diverse membership, which includes staff nurses, administrators and faculty members from the various agencies and health care settings throughout the state. Examples of the work product of the committee are found in the Advisory Opinions on the AZBN website: www.azbn.gov/advisoryopinions .
The current goals of the Scope of Practice Committee are to:
- Review and revise current advisory opinions.
- Respond to the changing health care environment by addressing scope of practice issues and developing advisory opinions when appropriate.
- Discuss and deliberate scope of practice issues when requested and make recommendations to the Board regarding specific issues.
The committee meets four times per year, usually in February, June, September and December. The meetings are held from 10 am – 2 pm in the Board Room at 4747 North 7th Street, Suite 200, in Phoenix.
